The Jaws of the Core - The Lands of Silt
The realms underground in the surface region of Roth. These are the four empires and kingdoms found in the dark and the great caverns beneath the earth, full of their own peoples and their own rules and cultures. In the current era, the 12th age, these nations struggle for control as their populations strive to reach the surface, some for the very first time in their nation’s history. The peoples of this region are eager to leave their realms behind, gathering in the holds of Roth and traversing the land to form settlements in the jungle. The undead are not affected by the plagues that cover the land as easily as those who live, and over the past 150 years the undead have made their mark in large groups across the lands around the Dredforge. The humans who fell during the Sundering have acclimated to the laws of Roth and are leaving in droves, while the other empires and kingdoms spread to hold the lands now abandoned in a grand expansion of control. Hints of Roth’s permanent ownership of this region of the depths have begun to emerge, marking the first possible depths regional takeover a real possibility in the next century.
The Kingdom of Thaan'Ruul
The Empire of Undead - The place of millions of undead, the spirits of those who perish in the empire are trapped inside, a generational curse that has lasted for 10,000 years. The cities in the kingdom are famous among the Depths for their unholy magic and many archliche's and black paladins, the reigning force of the Jaws
The 3 Cities of Abnuur
The Interconnected cities of humans and elves that fell to the depths when the sundering occurred - This place is a dark paradise, full of gluttony and hedonism, full of betrayers and corrupt governmental systems. Many millions of it's citizens made the dangerous trek to the surface world in Roth to escape their governments. Full of humans and ruled by a ruthless elite class of mages who horde the wealth of ancient knowledge left over from the fall during the Ascension and the Sundering, this realm is dangerous and full of civil strife in the 12th age.
The Empire of Diruu'Fenn
The Empire of Humans and Elves that have fought with the Cities of Abnuur for as long as the empires and cities have stood. They are the rebellious people who broke off from Abnuur to form a better home, but fell to civil wars and infighting, leading to an empire run by militaristic leaders and violent demigods. These are the people who work WITH the dark forces in the depths instead of isolating themselves from them.
The Kingdom of Kaoth
The Empire of dark watery horrors - This empire is placed closeby to a deep well of fresh water that leads down into the Jaws Core, a watery wasteland full of corrupted creatures of the sea and strange aquatic fiends. The Empire has it's own coalition of humanity that both fends off the invasion of the creatures from the core and worships them at the same time.
The Nomadic Nation of Naemut
The Tribes of Naemut are the nomadic peoples of the Jaws - This place is known among other Depths empires and kingdoms for it's corrupted and animalistic customs, and it's werewolves and werebears being treated as royalty.
