The Empire of Thrallr
The Human Empire that rules the outskirts of the Vaarnian Depths, Constantly fighting with the Maashuu. This is a realm of higher technological advancement, often used to protect their borders from the dangerous territories outside of its walls, full of the things that roar and spit in the night. This is a resilient nation that has been fighting with their neighbors for artound 800 years, a war that the humans of the empire have lived through for many generations, without pause and without either side yielding. You will find great fields of gooey fruits and sticky vegetables, a wealth unknown by most other empires down in the godsheathe, and the people who fled this empire to come to the surface are close with the Empire of Vaarnux that protects the entrance to their home realm.
The Sovereignty of Uunad
The Maashuu(Myconid) State that is the highest realm of Maashuu Culture in the entire world. This is a realm of extremely ancient Maashuu history, ancient Maashuu magics, and the realm with the greatest number of Maashuu in any empire or nation in the world. Many maashuu in the current era, the 12th age, will spend their lives preparing to visit this land, undertaking a dangerous quest to travel here and see the elder maashuu that still live, the great shamans that supposedly guided their people in the early days of the reborn world 20,000 years ago. These Maashuu are friendly with the humans of Thrallr, but are against the Maashuu of Luunos, who split off from Uunad when they would not yield the empire to a tyrannical leader and drove the traitor nationalists to a new land.
The Sovereignty of Luunos
The Maashuu State that is the sister of Uunad, but was once part of Uunad before a civil war tore the empire into two. This nation of Maashuu constantly wars with the humans of Thrallr and the Kingdom of Kuuldreth, ruled by dark elves. This nation was built by the traitorous military of Uunad during their civil war, and is now still ruled by a zealous religious organization proclaiming to be the masters of maashuu destiny and strength, claiming to be the true heirs to the supposed universal power of their people. This realm is full of giant overgrown fields of bioluminescent mushrooms and ghostly grey grass that these maashuu use to empower their nature magic and form it into a substance called Unan’Luu, a previously used wartime substance. The people of the realm are constantly at war and believe in the total domination of the Godsheathe Depths.
The Kingdom of Kuuldreth
The Dark Elf Empire that is one of the first true elven empires to ever be formed in the depths, even before the surface was opened and the cataclysm occurred. They are the ancient allies of Uunad and connect to them with their own expansive network of telecommunication grids and a somewhat modern society with the use of ancient aevorrian technology and maggi-tech, with pure magical energy being sparse or hard to handle due to their wild magic river defenses.
The Empire of Hanthuul
The Mixed race, and smaller empire that is relatively newly formed, only around 600 years ago. The Empire takes in all those who travel to the depths and still clings onto the old customs of the surface world, having built their empire around an ancient buried library dating back to 2,500 years ago, where they read the ancient customs of Old Ethrell and worship the Alithean Entities before the gods switched and changed domains.
