10th Age - The Defender Era - 14,800AB - 17,000AB
The Reborn Age was an age of settling, exploration, and slowed progress, begun when the great height of the world ended in failure and terrible discoveries. The people of this age always knew there was a shadow of evil over the land, unable to be stopped, merely held in place and held back by the protector nations of the world.
In this age, the world settled into a cautious state, its ambitious projects no longer funded, and instead, the technology and maggi-tech of the world was used to study energy from across the planes, marking the discovery of all the energy sources in the universe, it’s projects now focused on making the world easier, safer, and more protected from the Aevorrians and a few other hostile planes discovered during the Age of Revelation. Defense and convenience became the focus, and the plane became protected from outside entry, and the energy sources discovered became harnessed and became normal aspects of life.
By 15,110AB, most energy sources of the universe had been mastered, and maggi-tech reached new heights, now without the technological connection to the Aevorrians, securing the nations from another disastrous war with Aevorr. Aevorr had gone silent once again, its powerful defenses becoming more powerful, more advanced, and it seemed that Aevorr was truly locking itself down and had no intention of emerging again for many millenia.
By 16,000AB, the people of Abraeas’Dor had settled into the new normal, their war with Aevorr now an event of the past. The Abirrians still stood watch over the Aevorrians, and stated to the world that they will always be on guard so the past does not repeat itself, taking up an official role as a protector of the world.
The Brottoans had made the world bigger and was responsible for thousands of building projects across the world, and became known as the secondary defense of the plane behind Abirria. Their builders and machines, newly rebuilt, assisted the Abirrians in the full construction of megacities as the Abirrian population boomed in the recent centuries. The Brottoans became powerful protectors and allies to all empires, even building a closer relationship with the Ibnans than any other nation, launching the greatest trade relationship in the world between Brotto and Ibanakar.
The Mithiians still found ways to leave the plane and continued their search for Minthiia, and had begun raiding small villages once more, but were no longer eager to take over the world after the war with Aevorr, in which they lost many millions of soldiers. The Mithiians' deals and peace treaties lapsed or were broken, and they had no true allies, but still did not attempt another great war.
The Ibnans were still blocked from most of the world, and their culture had adapted back to a highly magical druidic nation, it’s greatest era and lost gods now mostly forgotten except in parts of Ethrell, where large colonies of former ibnans had taken the name of Alitheans or Ethrellians. This split off from Ibanakar caused some strife among the Ibnans, but the Ethrellian government negotiated with the original Ibnans and the Ibnans conceded, formally allowing the Ethrellian Ibnans to become their own empire on the Ethrellian supercontinent.
By 16,500AB, the empires had begun to explore new methods of using magic, and the Alitheans of Ethrell had once again risen to another peak of technology without the use of Aevorrian tech, now the pure tech superpower in the world. Their inventions once again were able to cure diseases and illnesses like cancer, solve anxiety, and remove illnesses with a singular visit to the doctor or a medic. There had been no wars in Ethrell in quite some time, and the Ibnans who had become Ethrellian and Alithean had begun to mix and abandon their druidic way of life in favor of the peace and comfort of the modern world. The few abirrian peoples still living in Ethrell remained unwavering in their dedication to magical progress, and resisted the assimilation into a world of tech, which caused some strife and civil unrest across Ethrell between the years 16,550AB and 16,600AB.
These protests began a slight shift of the Abirrians leaving the continent of Ethrel and returning home to Abirria. This subtle change left the continent with little magical protections and the lands were mostly devoid of Abirrian peoples by 16,650AB.
In 16,705AB, the first Artificial Intelligence to gain sentience was designed and built in Ethrell, that they lovingly named ARCOS(Artificial Rescue and Containment Operator System) which was used to protect the borders of Ethrell similarly to the Aevorrians protections, though much less advanced. This development then evolved again in 16,730AB, and was renamed ARGAN(Artificial Rescue and Guarding Automaton Network), with the building of several great guardian machines that patrolled the lands of Ethrell, all powered by the sentient Artificial Intelligence, acting as a powerful defense system built from 20,000 colossal automatons and 35,000 Automaton animals that worked with the militaries of Ethrell.
By 16,950AB, this artificial intelligence had taken over most military operations and defense protocols, leaving the once proud humanoid military to take a much weaker position, which ultimately lead to the total collapse of Ethrell in the next 50 years at the hands of gods the Alitheans had little collective memory of, Vibarii, God of Plague and Storm, the son of Habrintom in Abirria.
By 17,000AB, the infections of Vibarii brought Ethrell to ruin, for there were no enemies their technology could fight, the alitheans had resisted the continuation of magical study, and the plagues of Vibarii were inherently magical and completely unknown to Ethrell, leaving them particularly vulnerable to magical attacks. The introduction of the many Plagues of Vibarii marked a new medical age in Ethrell, which eventuallly fell to the Wrath Virus in the .
