9th Age - The Revelation Era - 13,000AB - 14,800AB
This age of Abraeas’Dor marked the beginning of a newly found threat, that the whole world collaboratively fought against, the first true attempt of the Aevorrians to break free of their shackles and begin an age of conquest. This era is also the time that many of the world's secrets were revealed to those who came after the Aevorrians, and terror gripped the nations and empires of the world.
By 13,010AB, The Aevorrians had launched their own highly advanced invasion with no magic use, only tech far beyond what others of the plane had been able to create. Their tactics involved shutting down the allies maggi-tech using their own creations, using programs latent in the maggi-tech, and it was revealed that the maggi-tech’s original pieces were created by Aevorr in a time long before the use of AB and the modern Abraeas’Dor.
By 13,029AB, the truth about the continent of Ethrell was revealed. During the invasion, several defectors begged to stay among the Ethrellians and the Alitheans, and were promised safe haven in exchange for information. The stories of the defectors revealed that long before the current ages, the Aevorrians populated what is now known as Ethrell, and during the fall of Aevorr, the land was decimated, removed from sight and reach, and that the land was cursed by their supreme gods. The land was once a great hub of life from better days that was removed from the world entirely by the Aevorrian gods, and was known to the Aevorrian historians as the graveyard of Aevorr. The defectors revealed the tale of the Aevorrians' war against their own gods, known to the Aevorrians as The Pridefall, and the aevorrian peoples’ crushing defeat, the gods destroying their crown jewel and ripping it from Abraeas’Dor entirely for many millennia, the land itself not reappearing until The Great Fall, the Death of the Rotharii Draed. They informed the allies that Aevorr is always patient, their gods are cruel, and they have been punishing the people for many millenia as a grand punishment for standing against them. The Aevorrian defectors were amazed by the allies' ability to revitalize it, desperate to escape the iron fists of their gods. The many defectors of Aevorr assisted in Aevorr’s eventual defeat.
By 13,056AB, the Aevorrians had conquered and leveled several hundred miles of the western coast of Abirria, and had infiltrated and destroyed many cities in the northern reaches of Ibanakar. The war was still ongoing.
In 13,035AB,the discovery of Aevorr’s past as interplanar conqueror and its full extent was made. Then, in 13,038AB, the reason no one could strike aevorr or even make landfall upon the continent, highly advanced force shields and repulsion devices were stirring up the ocean, manipulating the weather, and many thousands of drones patrolling the ocean shores. All of this was autonomous, and powered by a defense system the world now refers to as ABO, Autonomous Border Objects, a connected network of autonomous drones, shields, and automatons constantly on watch. The manipulation of the weather made the sea impossible to sail, and the shields were powered by a device supposedly deep in Aevorrian territory.
In 13,045AB, finally, the truth of Aevorr’s collapse was brought to the allied forces by an aevorrian soldier and his squad, lead by an Avian man named Ogarr, who took the war as a time to defect, leading to the victory over the Aevorrians, who had taken much of abirria and Ibanakar with their technological advancements far beyond what Ethrell had been able to make even at their peak.
Ogarr and his men informed the world about a secret weakness in the machines, they required biological components, and this tech was only recently repaired, so there were few who could operate them in the current state aevorr suffered from. He told the allies that this push to conquer was the first in over 15,000 years, and informed the allies about the Aevorrians greatest fall that led to their defeat, a war against the gods that ultimately cost them everything.
By 13,107AB, the Aevorrians were pushed back, by the Abirrians and the Brottoans, who suffered heavy losses, but recovered in time as the age of revelation continued.
By 14,000AB, the Aevorrians invasion was shut down, and their people were once again under subjugation, their remaining supreme gods renewing their punishment for failure. Their defenses still could not be beaten, but the Aevorrians had gone quiet once more.
By 14,500AB, the allied forces had recovered, and a new era of building began. They threw out and destroyed their own maggi-tech, as the Aevorrians had built them long ago and could control them however they saw fit due to latent powers still alive inside the machines. This left the allies to make the final decision to rid the worlds they loved of Aevorrian tech so it could not be used against them anymore. By this point in time, the building of these machines was common knowledge for artificers and engineers, so they built their own out of materials the aevorrians did not use. Mithril, Adamantine and all of their variants. This slowed technological progress and ended several of the Alitheans grandest projects, also shutting down the Interplanar travel programs. The allied forces themselves to begin again so as not to be as vulnerable again. Their tech improved once again by 14,500AB, but it was far more magic based than it was even at their greatest height.
By 14,800AB, the full truth of Aevorr became known to the public, and interplanar travel programs were back and functioning, but the Aevorrians' history across the planes prevented any allies from assisting them from outside Abraeas’Dor. The programs were revitalized in 14,600AB and shut down again by 14,680AB due to consistent failures to trade or make friends across the planes.
The Age of Revelation ended when the ambitious projects of interplanar travel ended in failure, and the true depth of evil across the planes spelled a grave warning for the people of Abraeas’Dor. The new age would be called The Reborn Age, the 10th Age.
