8th Age - The Great Shift - 10,000AB-13,000AB

This age of Abraeas’Dor marks the height of Maggi-tech, Alithean power, and prosperity across the entire known world. The Alithean gods rose to new heights in power and glory, and Mithiians, the aggressors of the previous age, had begun their new normal, and had adjusted to the rules and guidelines of the new age.

The Abirrians flourished anew, and their empire once again rose as a superpower, recovering completely from the Mithiian invasion, and their struggles against the stealthy machinations of Aevorr had begun to lessen, bringing their skirmishes and wars to a stand still.

By 10,110AB, Abirrian/Aevorrian wars had stopped, only leaving the occasional skirmish, effectively locking the Aevorrians back on their homeland for the foreseeable future.

By 10,300AB, The Brottoans created colossal digging machines and built great cities underground, and had begun their new practice of creating their gods new bodies in the process known as The Godseat Rites, in which the gods could speak to their people once again in a great sculpture placed upon the surface of Brotto. These structures would speak and the Brottoans had once again found a way to communicate directly with their gods who had all lost their physical forms in their fight against the Rotharii Draed in the 5th Age, The Great Fall.

By 10,500AB, The Alitheans of Ethrell, and Ethrell, now an independent nation and empire, had reached the peak of Maggi-tech once more, and had discovered a new way to use the Heiran Runes on a smaller, more precise level. The Alitheans ruled Ethrell with little to no opposition, but ruled with kindness and certainty.

By 11,200AB, The Brottoan traditions had become commonplace, and their sacred orders, The Saarek’Sa(The Sisters of Brotto) had been founded, and Brotto became a worldly peacekeeper, their assuredness and calm confidence leading the evolution and growth of cities across the world, their digging and building maggi-tech machines used to construct great monuments all across the world, working closely with the Alitheans for a better future.

By 11,800AB, The Alitheans had mastered many great technological achievements, including interplanar travel, highly advanced medical procedures, and even built a great teleportation network, connecting all nations together in a way they had not been before. This period is a high point of technological advancement alongside the use of maggi-tech.

By 12,000AB, The Mithiians had begun departing the world and returning decades later, and their own maggi-tech advancements had assisted them in colonizing, mobilizing, and populating the shattered isles and shards of land left behind by their catastrophic arrival, the Mithiians becoming just another nation among the many that resided there. Their war was long forgotten, their original intent long abandoned, their nation now desperate to find their true goddess Minthiia, their culture evolving to become consumed by this purpose.

By 12,208AB, the world had begun to stagnate once again, and interplanar travel had begun to become a mission, not a goal to achieve, as they could have done so for hundreds of years. So began renewed efforts to expand into other planes of existence.

By 12,500AB, maggi-tech and even more sophisticated technology was developed to handle interplanar travel. Interplanar travel became commonplace, and Abraeas’Dor became more open to the idea of interplanar trade and relations with other worlds with their own histories. These relations took time to build, but most efforts were successful. It was at this point in history that the Aevorrians made another great push to escape their nation and invade the world, leading to what became known as “The Aevvan Wars,” a serious of invasion efforts across the world from newly raised Aevorrian armies and their hidden master technology becoming revealed to the world in full. This war destabilized the Interplanar trading efforts of Ethrell and Abirria, and a revelation changed the world's perspective of Aevorr, which had always been there, but had not responded kindly to anyone who had attempted to treat with them.

While much of the planes were open to a trade deal with Abraeas’Dor, and even to build relations with the empires that resided there, the reveal of Aevorr made all those who had been ready to sign treaties back away and block as much contact as they could with Abraeas’Dor. When the fae planes were discovered, and a solitary plane built from flesh and biomechanical masses of organs and tissue was found in 12,559AB, the true horror of what lived in the corner of the world became known to the nations and empires of Abraeas’Dor.

The Aevorrians once conquered all these other planes, and the fae had been mutated and abused by the Aevorrians, the Aevorrian legacy found more in the other planes than Abraeas’Dor itself. Their legacy was one of genocide and inhumane experimentation, and all those Alitheans and Abirrians attempted to treat with were too scarred to ever trade with the plane the Aevorrian society lives in, putting an end to the high hopes of billions on Abraeas’Dor. This turned the world's sights upon Aevorr and their Aevvan Wars, the world only now discovering what really lay in the dark corners of their perfect world.

By 13,000AB, the wars against the Aevorrians had become all consuming to the world, and the ideal perfect world gave way to the patient enemy that had struck just as their secret was revealed. Their technology surpassed even the Alitheans, and the Abirrians suddenly found themselves struggling against the Aevorrians once again, for the first time in many ages. The world now knew that they had been patiently waiting, and struck when the world turned away from protecting itself and began to try expanding.

This marked the beginning of the 9th Age, The Age of Revelation.
