5th Age - The Draedic Era - 3,600AB - 4,200AB

This is the era in which Habrintom, the Supreme God of the Habrintean Pantheon and brother of Arsham, The Supreme God of the Arsennean Pantheon, found and harnessed the primordial forces of emotion, and gave these figures physical forms, unsatisfied with the growth of his own mortal creations, The Naven and the Kavarull, now known as regular Abirrian citizens. In his making of their forms, his fury corrupted them here on Abraeas’Dor.

These great monstrosities were larger than mountains, so colossal and so powerful that their presence forced much of the world to hide in the shallow undergrounds. The Brottoans, who currently live underground, began their journey under the surface in this age, and the massive dark tunnels underneath the surface of Abirria were made in this era. Old Ethrell had not yet been founded in this period, the golden age before the Ascension and the Sundering not yet begun, with new people emerging in Abraeas’Dor at the time.

The Rotharii’Draed ruled the surface world, crushed villages and the few cities that existed, and a series of mass deaths changed the world forever. This era is regarded as a long lost time in the current day, but it is still remembered through memory halls and the shared memories of the Erran, Naherin, and the Maashuu.

People adapted to the dark, unable to find a way to free themselves from Habrintom’s oppression and the Draed’s unbelievable power.  This time period comes to an end with a violent divine war and selfless acts by what remained of the worlds divine and arcane power to destroy the Rotharii Draed from the inside, or other nations lost many of their own deities in great sieges against the Draedic bodies.

This marks the start of the Abirrian golden age that still persists until the current day in the 12th age. This is the start of the Abirrians now ancient order known as The Greenshields, and marked the deaths of many deities across the world, who had fought against the colossal, angry Rotharii’Draed.

This event begins as the most powerful mages of Abirria, deep underground, discovered the Draed’s sleep patterns, the colossal creatures sleeping for approximately a month at a time. The abirrians decided one last attempt before seeking other options, a suicide mission with their most powerful people. They would enter the draed as they slept, and would trek into the bodies of the draed to find a way to destroy them from the inside, as no spells or magic worked on them when aimed at their flesh, even the most powerful mages being crushed merely attempting to hurt them. This was a mission born from desperation and near extinction, the underground resources dwindling and multiple underground colonies dying out. This was their last chance.

The heroes who sacrificed their lives began their trek into multiple draed who still resided in Abirria, a grim quest to save the world. The erran man who gave the final goodbye upon entering carried a valuable asset, a solid adamantium tower shield, a known protector against the monsters in the dark, a man of faith and power. His sacrifice and those that followed him led to the founding of the greenshields after their mission was a success, and three of the Rotharii’Draeds bodies died as a result of over 200 people's selfless sacrifice. All perished.

They struck at the hearts and lungs of the draed, many perished quickly for over exertion, and the rest died drowned by the rivers of blood that poured from the Draed’s hearts when they heroes were successful in destroying them.

Three Rotharii’Draed died and lost their physical forms in Abirria, while the newer peoples, The Ibnans and the Brottoans lost many of their own deities. The Brottoans who lived underground fought against the Draed in a holy war, their gods, with bodies of their own, fought the draed themselves, their bodies destroyed in the process, marking a new religious era for the Brottoans, their gods becoming known as Totems, and the brottoans objecting to returning the surface, as they now considered the surface of their land to be a divine graveyard, which is still believed in the present day in the 12th age.

The Ibnans summoned great gods from their home planes, and many of the animal and monster gods perished in the fight against the Rotharii Draed. The ibnans lost over 10 deities defending their home, and the people of Ibanakar remembered them for thousands of years afterwards, but eventually, those gods were forgotten, only recently being discovered again during Ibanakar’s centuries as a world super power before and during the golden era of Old Ethrell.

The Abirrians worked for over a hundred years after their success to destroy the flesh of the Draed as it rotted, losing its durability over time, as a forever memory of their victory, they rebuilt into the start of the 6th age, building their first great cities out of the bones of the Draed. These are still the locations of three of the Abirrians great cities, though they now lie underground in the 12th age.

The greenshields were founded in the aftermath, and their victory spurred a new era of magical success, societal progress, and aided by their gods, they were able to start the greatest golden era of Abirria in the following age. This holy order is a staple even in the current day, and still persists, though evolved. This era also began the age of change for their supreme god Arsham, he himself evolved to become more of a god of strength and peace more than what he was before, which was a god of power and divine wrath.

Between 4,100AB and 4,200AB progress soared. This short era is known for the worlds drastic and rapid recovery with the first united empires forming, and the young nations in the world working together cohesively to rebuild and fortify the world against other threats, from inside and outside the plane of existence.

With the combined help of the Brottoans technological skills, the Abirrians rapid arcane knowledge recovery, and the ibnans natural blessings restoring the worlds wildlife, within 100 years the world had recovered from the threat of the Rotharii Draed.

In this time period, ancient abirrian memory halls are recovered, the abirrians raise and ascend a god named Weitom, and the Brottoans discover that their gods are not truly dead. The Rotharii Draed emerge as Draed-Marked, people possessed by the shadows of the now bodiless Draedic abominations, but the now thriving Greenshield Order in Abirria handles them quickly, the memory of the worlds dark age still fresh in the minds of most citizens.

Maggi-Tech makes its first great leap in progress with the collaboration between Abirria and Brotto, and the first world wide safeguards are established and trade, defense, and travel deals are made alongside the first worldwide communication network. This a true era of rapid expansion, as the lands previously uninhabited are filled with people and the populations boom to historic levels. The realms to the east, previously unreachable, are finally uncovered and revealed to all with the advancements of maggi-tech.
