6th Age The Golden Era - 4,200AB-9,500AB
This golden era of the world began their first ideas of unifying the multicultural land known as Ethrell, the Easternmost supercontinent. This era was also a great era of magical progress for the Abirrians, their magical power rising so high, what little technology still existed became obsolete more quickly than the progress made through pure magic.
By 4500AB, The Abirrians had discovered the Heiran Runes, the universal runes of magic, and by 5200AB, their ability to wield them became unmatched, and their knowledge began to spread to other lands across Abraeas’Dor.
By 6000AB, the great towns built from the bones of the draed had become megacities, Habrintoms monsters and mutated animals trampling major villages and towns, a new threat that was dealt with by the Abirrians and their wild magical power. This period of war against the natural world was known as The War of the World, and was won by the Abirrians by 6100AB.
By 7000AB, Abirrian society evolved to become a world super power, unquestioned by their allies, The Brottoans and The Ibnans. This alliance would prove to be extremely useful for all involved.
Ibnans and the newly arrived gods who became known as the Alithean gods spread to the supercontinent of Old Ethrell, now an empty land, always mysterious, but now entirely abandoned, a foggy graveyard for those who had perished in the age of the Rotharii Draed. All who once lived there had either fled the world or perished, and previous expeditions to the supercontinent had failed. What happened to all those who lived there before is a mystery that would not be uncovered in the height of Old Ethrell, and the truth shook the world.
The Brottoans sent envoys, settlers, and began trading with the shoreline towns and villages established by the Abirrians, Ibnans, and new Alitheans. This trade and the work of the Abirrian mages cleared the land of the fog, while the Ibnans grew new forests and their divine shamans blessed the lands. Strange technology was found in the ruins of what looked like great cities made of steel and iron, and the Aevorrians to the far west began to interfere in the migration, sparking the first major conflicts between Abirriia and Aevorr, a struggle that has been constant for as long as both have existed, but now becoming a serious threat to world peace.
The settling of Old Ethrell led to many discoveries in technology previously unknown to the Ibnans, Brottoans, Alitheans, and Ibnans. This technology would be adapted to work with magic, the settlers unable to understand how the machines truly worked, instead advancements in maggi-tech began to speed up the world’s progress.
By 8000AB, maggi-tech had reached its limits without further research, and by 8900AB, the golden age of progress slowed to a crawl. The land of Old Ethrell was now fully populated, and Ibanakar had risen to a new height and reached their own golden era as a world military superpower, becoming known as one of the greatest military and societal forces in the world.
By 9500AB, the rise of the Ibnans, Abirrians, the Alitheans, and the Brottoans caused the Old Ethrellian society to become complacent. All needs were met, maggi-tech and magical materials were found, and the society had little more to look for unless they sought to unite into their own empire and separate itself from the control of their founding empires and nations, Abirra, Ibanakar, and Brootto. The great lords and shamans of Ethrell began a war that would end in tragedy in the 8th Age, upon the arrival of the Mithiians on Abraeaasa’Dor.
