The Sunder’s Maw Depths - The Lands of Raeon
The vertical depths region of the depths in Sunder’s Maw in Roth. This realm has a strong, long time relationship with the surface empire of Roth, and have mostly all become assimilated into Rothiian culture, the first in the lands of Roth to form reliable and honest treaties and defensive allyships in the wake of the Sundering 2,500 years ago. These people have not adopted technology to the level of Rothiians, but are all adept at using it, and have adopted the Rotharii’Draed as deities in their own empires. The culture of Roth has taken over in the people here despite them having their own ancient cultures. The population of Roth is shared with the surface world and the lands of Raeon.
The Empire of Daenogoth
The Empire of Vampires, the largest vampiric empire in the world, and the place where the high vampire lords of Roth and the Depths gather to make deals, all fits into one mega city that spreads up the side of Sunder's Maw. The largest population of devoted Draedic Vampires are found here, and many of the vampire families are in charge of trade with Roth. In the last few hundred years, the empire of Daenogoth has been blending with Roth enough to make people question whether their empire is truly its own or is really just a branch of the Rothiian empire.
The Empire of Kuthkuul
The Struggling Center of humankind in the Sunder's Maw Depths, where their cities are slums, and is tormented by the empire of Daenogoth. They are bitter enemies, with Daenogoth being the super power in the the Sunder's Maw Depths. These humans are often the ones who replace the lost humans in Roth, and their continued disenfranchisement in Roth and the Depths has beaten this empire to the point of near collapse, the people hanging on by a thread, and beginning to turn on Roth in the last 110-120 years.
The Nomadic Empire of Faeruul
The Nomadic Tribes of the Fallen Giants, where they travel across the massive open spaces, stop and build, and then move on when posed with a threat. They too live under the thumb of the Daenogoth Empire. The giants of this realm turned their back on the surface world a long time ago, and in recent years have been distancing themselves from Roth, pulling away while most other empires in this region continue to become closer to it. A religious movement in this Empire has been a cause of great civil strife among the tribes here, and the recent discovery of ancient giant history has been taking up much of this empire’s time and efforts for the past 150 years.
The Sovereignty of Haem
The Maashuu Nation that resists the forces of Daenogoth, and sides with the Kingdom of Juulr'Waer, The Empire of Werebeings in fighting against Daenogoth. This is a home to the outcasts of other nations and empires, taking in the refugees of the various international conflicts, and is the greatest ally to Juulr’Waer, even surpassing Roth in trade and defense allyship. This realm is the most resistant to Roth’s Draedic faith, still believing deeply in the greatness of their maker, Habrintom. Their ritualistic and shamanic culture makes them the greatest natural casters in Roth and Sunder’s Maw. They are the primary force of defense in this depths region, and has built some of the greatest societal safety nets, maintaining them through their generous offerings of valuable materials that they themselves have no need for. In recent centuries, their relationship with Roth has wavered due to Roth’s trade relationship and migratory allyship with Daenogoth.
The Empire of Juulr'Waer
The Empire of Werewolves and Wererats, who are the protectors of the human nation of Kuthkuul. They are close with the humans, who appeared during the sundering and were the first to offer peace during that time of unrest. The wererats of Juulr’Waer are the least of the werebeings in the surface realms, but here are the greatest inventors and the builders that constructed and maintain the safest rates of travel through the abominable lands that separate Juulr’Waer, Kuthkuul, and Haem. They are also the forerunners of mechanical tech, using ancient machinery unearthed in the depths. The empire is ruled by a rudimentary democracy with most important locations being centered on ancient aevorrian machine landmarks.
